Frontec Among Canada's Top 100 Defence Companies
Canada’s leading defence and military magazine, Canadian Defence Review (CDR), has named ATCO Frontec to its list of 2022 Top Defence Companies. We’re proud to have ranked #61, moving up from our 2021 rank of 76.
Each year CDR ranks defence companies based on factors such as economic impact to the country, research & development initiatives, innovation, contribution to the nation's security, national and international contract wins, excellence of management and support of Canada’s military.
“The strength of the Canadian defence and aerospace industry is evident in the caliber of organizations on this list,” said Jim Landon, President, ATCO Frontec. “We owe our success to the talented people we’ve built our organization on to provide essential support to our Canadian Armed Forces.”
expanding our defence portfolio
Over the past six months, we’ve grown our defence portfolio, with two major Department of National Defence contract awards. In late 2021, we were awarded a five-year facility operations and maintenance contract by Defence Construction Canada for 15 DND Alberta sites. In January 2022, our Inuit partnership, Nasittuq Corporation was awarded a seven-year contract to operate and maintain the North Warning System.
Since 2018, we’ve been providing facility management services for the Real Property North contract, at five Canadian Armed Forces FOLs across the North.
Our Frontec International operations currently have three NATO contracts in Europe, located in Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Kosovo.
