Delivering Camp Services in Remote Alaska

Our client required an experienced service provider to deliver complete camp services to support their operations at the Pogo Mine in Alaska. Pogo Mine occupies 17,000 hectares of mining and exploration leases.

The camp equipment was installed in the early 2000s by ATCO Structures. The ATCO Frontec service solution focuses on full lifecycle maintenance to extend this equipment’s usable life and reduce the total cost of ownership over the length of the contract. This project demonstrates our ability to provide an integrated project delivery model where in addition to food and accommodation services for the 700-bed facilities, we also provide:

    Pogo mining camp

Procurement services – supply of tools and equipment, logistics support for transportation, receiving, off-loading, as well as storage.

Facility maintenance - corrective and preventative maintenance programs.

Utilities management – rates, taxes, power costs, and water cost relevant to Northern Star’s supplied items.

    On-site bus operations

    Community Engagement

At the heart of our solution is our commitment to our people and the communities where we work. To deliver Pogo Camp Services, we apply an Indigenous Engagement Plan (IEP). The IEP’s key objectives respond to the strong interest from the region for greater engagement with, and representation of, Indigenous peoples and perspectives.
