    Supporting Displaced Residents

In 2023, wildfires raging across Alberta forced residents from their homes, ravaged acres of land and called hundreds of emergency responders to action.

ATCO was called on by the Dene Tha First Nation to help establish emergency housing in High Level, Alberta for their displaced residents. With our extensive experience operating in remote locations and responding to emergencies of all types, our teams acted quickly. ATCO Structures mobilized equipment from BC to Northern Alberta, and built a 450-bed lodge.

ATCO Frontec established a turn-key operation, including kitchen, food services, housekeeping, sewage, water and other infrastructure services needed to support the residents and people in nearby communities.

The Moose Prairie Lodge remained open until October 2023 serving the Nation’s residents until it was safe for them to return to their homes.
