Aging Building Systems Impacting efficiency and reliability
Our client was facing significant challenges with their aging building mechanical systems, impacting their efficiency and reliability. Our ATCO Facility Solutions team was contracted to do a comprehensive upgrade, which included the replacement of boilers and rooftop air handling units, as well as an upgrade to the building automation system.
With years of experience in HVAC mechanical construction and installations, our team brought a wealth of knowledge and expertise to this project. They are adept at handling complex installations and ensuring that all systems are optimized for peak performance. We pride ourselves on delivering solutions that meet our clients’ needs and exceed their expectations.

Critical Upgrades
Boiler Replacement – Two outdated boilers were dismantled and replaced with new, high-efficiency units. The new boilers were integrated with the existing heating infrastructure. This upgrade ensures improved heating performance and energy savings.
Air Handling Unit Replacement - The two large air handling units, located in a challenging position on the roof, were safely removed using a crane. This required precise coordination and planning to ensure safety and minimize disruption. The new air handling units were installed, and are designed to optimize airflow and indoor air quality.
Building Automation System Upgrade: The upgraded building automation system was seamlessly integrated with the new equipment, providing enhanced control and monitoring capabilities for optimal performance and energy management. The new automation system includes advanced features such as remote access, and predictive maintenance capabilities, allowing for proactive management and improved operational efficiency.
The successful completion of this project has resulted in a significant improvement in the building’s mechanical performance. The new boilers and air handling units, coupled with the upgraded automation system, provide reliable and efficient operation, ensuring the client’s comfort and satisfaction.
