  • Celebrating Success in Progressive Aboriginal Relations

On October 6th, we were honored to be awarded Silver-level certification from the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business’s (CCAB) Progressive Aboriginal Relations (PAR) program. The program evaluates our commitment to Indigenous communities and recognizes sustained leadership in Indigenous relations.

“PAR confirms our commitment, success, and impact in Indigenous relations,” explains Tanya Rexin, Frontec Indigenous Relations Manager. “Through this program we have integrated significant processes to ensure we are implementing best practices when it comes to leadership, employment, business development and community relationships.”

Participation in PAR ensures that Indigenous relations are addressed as part of a company’s overall corporate social responsibility strategy and considered in annual planning at the strategic level. Companies are eligible for certifications at the bronze, silver and gold levels, as well as the Committed level.

Jim Landon, President of ATCO Frontec, looks forward to continued involvement with the program and further demonstrating how we live our commitment. “Partnering with Indigenous communities and forming successful businesses is really at the heart of everything we do,” says Landon. “We have numerous joint ventures and partnerships operating major projects in the North and across Canada, some of which we’ve had for more than 20 years. PAR acknowledges the great work we’ve been doing and will continue to develop.”
